| Huckleberry Bliss is made with an intensly flavorful, wild berry found growing exclusively at elevations between 3,500 - 7,000 feet. The mountains of the Pacific Northwest provide the crisp alpine nights and consistent moisture the berries require.
Huckleberries have never been cultivated successfully - consequently, these delightful fruits are harvested one at a time by berry pickers. Pickers, entranced and drawn in by the solitude of the forest, are often found sharing their harvest with the local grizzlies and black bears. In the late summer while prepairing for hibernation, these bears need 10 to 15 pounds of berries per day to maintain their high energy requirements.
To create this unique chocolate, we blend succulent, fresh huckleberries into our smooth butter-cream fondant. These delicious handmade morsels are then drenched in our premium milk or dark semi-sweet chocolate. Since huckleberries are relatively scarce (and we make sure the bears get their share) our supply of these blissful chocolates is limited.
